EXTENDED DEADLINE - FEBRUARY 16, 2020
The 3rd International Conference on LGBT+ Psychology and related fields – Promoting Equality, Social Justice and Psychosocial Well-Being in a Contrasting World will be held at ISPA – Instituto Universitário (www.ispa.pt), the oldest university of psychology in Portugal, from June 24th to 27th 2020. This Conference will be a unique opportunity to create a forum for students, researchers and scholars interested in different areas of LGBT+ research to discuss current topics, so to bridge the gap between LGBT+ research and the community realities in which LGBT+ people live in.
The main objective of this Conference is to give visibility to and consolidate the field of LGBT+ Research, with particular emphasis on LGBT+ Psychology. The Conference has an international and multidisciplinary scope to tackle the discrimination of sexual and gender minorities and to provide a significant contribution towards equality, acceptance and social justice in a diverse and contrasting world.
We welcome proposals for paper and poster individual presentations, paper and poster symposiums, and roundtables. All proposals should be submitted online, and there will be a limit of two first-author presentations. Abstracts may be submitted in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
The Conference will also feature invited addresses by Charlotte Patterson (University of Virginia, United States), David Frost (University College London, United Kingdom) and Carla Moleiro (ISCTE-IUL, Portugal), three eminent scholars who have significantly advanced the field of LGBT+ psychology research.
